So I used to use this Web site to document my theories about television so that later on, after I was right, I could point here and say “I told you so.” It didn’t happen all that often.
Now, I’m going to use it to talk about all kinds of things I like, such as:
- Cake and cake frosting.
- My dog, Freckles.
- Many things on the Internet. Like this.
- Fringe. Oh my God, Fringe.
- The Olympics!
- Downton Abbey parodies.
- Kate Middleton’s hair.
- What Kate Middleton will wear at the Olympics.
- Freckles’s and my Halloween costumes.
- Freckles’s and my costumes for my forthcoming Gossip Girl-themed birthday party. In December. I will be Blair and she will be Dorota. Or maybe she’ll be Blair and I’ll be Dorota.
- Country music and my pink cowgirl boots.
- Nicole Kidman. (Nope.)
- Tiny Tower.
…you get the idea.
Welcome and hello!
Can I please please please steal your birthday party idea for my 30th birthday, I nearly squealed outloud in “hells yes-ness”!
i’m thrilled you’ve revealed yourself — or was i lazy enough not to know until you linked here from suri? the things that comes from your brain to your finger tips to my screen….. genius. bless your wit.
Greetings from the Alps and thank you, Allie, for having made my day so many times. Switzerland is the land of cheese and chocolate but not necessarily for good black, deadpan humor.
yay!!!
OMG, I am totally obsessed with both Suri’s Burn Book and Tiny Tower! I am also a dog person.
I haven’t been this happy since Dana from Reasoning With Vampires responded to my fanmail.
I feel like I need to impress you, because Suri’s burn book has been such an important part of my workday. So thank you. Nothing goes with a little morning coffee like some good old-fashioned child slander.
I also love cake and frosting. I often make both and blog about them, but I mostly love eating them.
And I love my dogs. One of them acts a lot like Suri, and sometimes makes guest posts on my blog. You should check her out. I think she’s the third post down right now.
And I may or may not have spent many hours trying to transform my locks into Kate Middleton’s. I think I’ve almost got it. I just need to work on my princess wave.
Haha you’re welcome! I spent a good part of the weekend trying to make my hair look like Blake Lively’s, but it just would not happen. I blame the humidity.
I’ve had a total girl crush on her since Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants came out. Not that I watched that like seventeen times or anything….
But I’d love to have her hair. Unfortunately, the combination of blonde hair and my skin tone would scare away men and children alike. Sigh.
Better luck next time!
Allie, those extra esses should not be there after the possessive apostrophes for the word Freckles. Thanks.
Actually, Strunk and White disagree with you, and The Elements of Style is my grammar and usage Bible. (Page 3 of this document: http://www.cs.vu.nl/~jms/doc/elos.pdf)
